Lightning Love is a brand that conveys the theme of celebrity relationships, which can be understood through breaking down each word making up the title. ‘Lightning,’ refers to the flashes of paparazzi cameras, whereas ‘love,’ refers to the affection involved in a relationship. Together they form this motif. Printed or embroidered on each Lightning Love article is a graphic and icons I designed. I chose to represent Lightning Love in an elusive manner through my photography and editing style, synonymous with the low-profile conduct of the celebrities the brand references. Lightning Love is my most recognized work, having received press attention from my university’s (University of Western Ontario) official magazine . Yet, more notably, it allowed me to secure increasingly esteemed freelance work, which is the primary focus of my design practice today.
